About Altagora / ALTAGORA COMPANY

From a shared idea
to products of our own.

We are Andrey and Vasya: two friends who enjoy turning everyday problems into useful applications. At Altagora, we design and develop our own digital products, from the first sketch to the details you notice in daily use.

HOW IT STARTED

From school projects to Altagora.

We’ve both been programming since our school days. We started with game bots, Minecraft mods and experiments of our own. Along the way, we gained extensive hands-on experience: working through other people’s code, building our own solutions and turning ideas into working software.

At university, we shared more than lecture notes. There were grocery runs, dinners made from whatever was left in the fridge, and the question of whether our money would last until the end of the month. Money was tight. We soon learned that small expenses add up faster than you can remember them.

So we started writing them down. Notes became a spreadsheet, and the spreadsheet became an idea for an app. First for us, then for a few close friends. Their questions revealed what we had taken for granted: how much was left for today, what was already set aside for rent, and who paid for the last shared shop.

Those questions shaped Finapp and an ambition to build for more people. Altagora is where we give that ambition room to grow. We both write code, try out ideas, and revisit the parts that need more work. The question we keep coming back to is whether our software makes an ordinary day a little easier.

PEOPLE / ALTAGORA

The two people behind Altagora.

Andrey

Co-founder · product and development

He enjoys turning an idea into an app that feels easy to find your way around. He experiments, refines interfaces, and keeps asking what could be simpler. Away from the keyboard, he tries new recipes and unwinds with strategy games.

Vasya

Co-founder · development and architecture

He likes untangling difficult problems and figuring out how the parts of an application should fit together. Clear code and thoughtful details matter to him. A free evening means board games; a free weekend calls for a backpack and a trail.

ALTA + AGORA

Why Altagora?

We coined the name from two ideas: the Latin altus, meaning “high”, and the Greek agora, a public square where people gathered. Altagora is our own combination, not a literal Latin expression.

It reminds us to aim higher and stay close to the people we build for. We want to make products with high standards and a useful place in everyday life.
